Salsa de Chile de Arbol
Web Site This is a go to salsa. The chile de arbol gives this unique flavor to a salsa that is different from the typical fresh salsa that you would make with fresh jalapeños. This is the recipe for the salsa I use for Chilaquiles, a good breakfast dish or even for dinner. This is the perfect ratio for peppers and tomatoes, but if you find it to be to spicy you can certainly make the adjustments.

5-6 chiles del arbol
7 roma tomatoes
1 garlic clove
1 tsp. heaping oregano
2 tsp. canola oil
Salt to taste
Boil chiles and tomatoes in water until tender about 15 minutes.
In the blender combine peppers, tomatoes, garlic, and oregano. If the consistency is to thick add a little of the boiled water used. Salt to taste.
Heat oil and when the oil is hot add the sauce and cook for several minutes make sure your sauce sizzles when it hits the oil. Don’t ask why? Because that is what I’ve been told. But it’s a favorite.
